CHRISTMAS!

This is one part of the activities we did in English related to Christmas. From the beginning of December we had an Advent Calendar in our classroom. Each day the helper opened a square to get a small gift, and also we counted how many days left to the Christmas Day!

Esta es una parte de las actividades que hicimos en inglés para navidad. Desde el principio del mes de diciembre tuvimos un calendario de adviento en nuestra clase. Cada día, el ayudante abría una casilla para conseguir un pequeño detalle y también contábamos cuántos días quedaban para ¡el día navidad!

We learned some words related to Christmas vocabulary and played several games. We watched the following video, too.

Aprendimos algunas palabras relacionadas con el vocabulario de navidad e hicimos varios juegos. También vimos el siguiente vídeo.

We decorated our classroom doors.

Decoramos las puertas de nuestra clase.

Then, we also learned some words of toys and we could write our English letter to Santa.

Después, aprendimos algunas palabras de juguetes, así que, pudimos escribir nuestra carta a Papá Noel en inglés.

Finally, in Arts&Crafts we made a Santa's face, with some recycled materials, to hang it on the door of our houses.

Por último, en plástica hicimos una cara de Papá Noel, con algunos materiales reciclados, para colgarla en la puerta de nuestras casas.

HEALTHY - UNHEALTHY FOOD

We have been working on healthy and unhealthy food in the science subject. Last week we played this game, where children had to put the food in the correct box, depending on if that food was healthy or unhealthy.

Tonight, Americans celebrate Thanksgiving. The history of this festival began as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. It is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November.

For this festival, in our school we have recreated a big table with some foods, like for example, the well-known turkey.

THE GINGERBREAD MAN

We have been working on the story "The Gingerbread Man" to remember some parts of the body, as: head, legs, arms, hands, eyes, nose, ears and mouth. We watched the video of the story and then we talked about it, answering some questions.

AUTUMN FRUITS

Last Tuesday, we learnt things about the autumn and some autumn fruits. We saw an expositions with several autumn fruits in our school.

There were apples, pears, corn, pomegranate, grapes, oranges, nuts, chestnuts, peanuts, etc.

Here, there are some photos of these fruits.

Children watched some videos about the autumn and they recited their poems related to this season.

El martes pasado, aprendimos algunas cosas sobre el otoño y sobre las frutas y frutos de otoño. Vimos una exposición con frutos y frutas de otoño en nuestro cole.

Había manzanas, peras, maíz, granada, uvas, naranjas, nueces, castañas, cacahuetes, etc.
